Managed Services

Managed Networking

A network that drops slows everything that depends on it, from card payments to cloud systems and the phones. We design it properly, install it cleanly and monitor it continuously, so it quietly does its job.

What this protects

When the network stops, so does the till

Networking is the plumbing of a modern business. You notice it only on the day it fails, and by then it is costing you the trading day.

Trading that keeps moving

Card payments, cloud systems and the phones all ride on the network. Redundant paths keep them working when one part fails.

Staff who stop working around it

Coverage that holds up under load, so people are not relocating to the one desk that gets a signal.

A network you actually own

Documented topology, labelled cabling and equipment that is yours, so the next engineer is not starting from guesswork.

Most "network problems" are design problems

When a business tells us the Wi-Fi is rubbish, the cause is rarely the access points. It is usually that the network grew one switch at a time over eight years, nobody drew a diagram, and the guest network has been sharing a broadcast domain with the tills since 2019.

We start with a survey rather than a quote. What do you actually run, where does it need to reach, and what happens when a single component fails? From there we design the topology, then install it, then monitor it.

What we design and manage

Switching and routing

Managed switching with VLAN segmentation, redundant links and power, and a documented topology you actually own.

Business Wi-Fi

Proper site surveys and access point placement for coverage that holds up under load, rather than only in the room with the router.

Firewalls

Perimeter and cloud firewalls with sensible rules, content filtering and secure remote access.

Structured cabling

Cat6 and fibre installation and testing, documented and labelled so the next engineer is not guessing.

Guest and segregated networks

Separate networks for guests, staff and devices that should never share a segment, segregated from a security standpoint.

Ongoing management

Firmware, configuration backup, capacity monitoring and fault diagnosis as part of the service.

Questions we get asked about Managed Networking

Often yes. A survey frequently shows the problem is access point placement or channel contention rather than the hardware itself. We will tell you honestly which it is.

Yes. We run and test structured cabling, including fibre, and label and document the result.

We design site-to-site connectivity with consistent configuration across sites, so you have one network rather than several that happen to share a brand.

It depends on size and whether work must happen out of hours. You get a phased plan with dates before anything starts.

Yes. We supply and configure it, but the hardware is yours. We are not in the business of renting you switches indefinitely.
