Joiner and leaver process
New starters get a configured handset before day one. Leavers get their access cut and the device recovered, before the SIM walks.
Mobile
Every line you are not sure about is money off the bottom line, and every leaver whose phone still holds your email is a risk you cannot see. We run the mobile estate like the rest of your IT: devices enrolled, lines and tariffs tracked, data pooled, and leavers handled properly rather than forgotten.
What this protects
Mobile left on its own drifts: lines nobody can account for, tariffs set years ago, and leavers still holding access.
An accurate list of every line, handset and user, with tariffs matched to real usage rather than the original guess.
New starters are set up before day one, and leavers are cut off the same day, so access and handsets do not walk out of the door.
Passcodes, encryption and enrolment applied consistently, the same way you already treat your laptops.
Device management, usually called MDM, is the software that puts a business phone under many of the same controls as a laptop. It can see the device model, the operating system version, whether a passcode is set, whether the storage is encrypted, which apps are installed from a corporate catalogue, and whether the device has been tampered with.
It cannot read personal texts, photos or browsing history when the device is set up properly with a separate work profile. That separation is the whole point: the business manages and can wipe the work side, while the personal side stays private. Being blunt, though: a fully company-owned device enrolled end to end gives the business far more visibility than a personal phone with a work profile.
New starters get a configured handset before day one. Leavers get their access cut and the device recovered, before the SIM walks.
Devices enrolled into management so we can see passcode status, patch level and whether anything suspicious is installed.
Every line, tariff and allowance tracked in one place, with alerts when a bundle is close to running out.
Contract end dates watched, so handsets get replaced on schedule and not the week a screen shatters.
Passcodes enforced, encryption on, unsupported devices flagged. The same standard you already apply to laptops.
One itemised bill, one asset list, and one place to look when a phone goes missing.
When mobile sits outside IT, the estate drifts. Nobody is quite sure how many lines you pay for, two people are on the wrong tariff, a leaver still has mailbox access on a personal phone, and the bill is paid without question.
None of it is dramatic. It is slow waste, and it usually gets discovered during a security review rather than on a quiet Tuesday morning.
Yes. Devices that support enrolment can be brought under management, whether they were bought through us or from another supplier.
No, provided the device is set up with a separate work profile. We see the work side and the device security status, not personal content. We will show you exactly what is visible for a given setup before anything is enrolled.
Managed the same way. A phone enrolled over the internet behaves identically whether the person is in the office or working from a kitchen table.
Often. The quickest wins are usually unused lines and mismatched tariffs, and a review of the last three bills shows exactly where they are.
No. Our agreements are rolling monthly, and that includes the mobile management element.
