Cloud Backup

A copy kept in the same building as the system it protects shares its fate. We hold yours encrypted and offsite, so fire, flood or ransomware does not take your business down along with your servers.

What this protects

Your data, safe from the same disaster twice

Offsite backup keeps one incident as one incident. Lose the building and you still have the business.

Protection that survives the incident

Fire, flood, theft or ransomware reaching your server would reach a local backup too. Ours sits somewhere else entirely.

Recovery measured in hours

Restore a file, a mailbox or a whole system without waiting on a supplier ticket while the business waits.

The Microsoft 365 gap closed

Mailboxes, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams held in a place Microsoft does not cover for you.

Why offsite is the default, not an upgrade

A backup stored in the same building as the system it protects shares its fate. Fire, flood, theft, a power surge or a ransomware attack that reaches your file server will reach your backup too, if they are in the same place.

Cloud backup puts a copy somewhere else entirely. We hold our copies in UK and EU datacentres with encryption applied before the data leaves your network, so the transfer itself is protected.

What you get

Encrypted end to end

Data is encrypted before it leaves your network and stays encrypted at rest. Keys are held separately from the data.

Continuous or scheduled

Choose continuous protection for critical systems or scheduled jobs for the rest, with retention you control.

Monitored daily

We check the jobs and the alerts, so a silently failing backup is our problem to spot rather than yours.

On-demand restores

Restore a single file, a mailbox or a whole system without waiting on a supplier ticket.

Microsoft 365 protection

Mailboxes, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams covered, closing the gap Microsoft leaves to you.

Reporting

Regular reports showing what was protected and what was restored, useful for compliance evidence.

Questions we get asked about Cloud Backup

It scales with the volume of data and the retention period. We will size it at your health check rather than quote a headline number that changes later.

In UK and EU datacentres by default. If you have a specific data residency requirement, tell us and we will accommodate it.

Yes. Endpoint backup is useful for staff who keep business data locally, which is more common than most businesses realise.

Cloud Backup is the storage and protection layer. Backup & Disaster Recovery adds the planning, test restores and written recovery procedure on top.

Yes. Cloud services protect their own infrastructure, not your data. Accidental deletion, malicious deletion and account compromise are yours to recover from.
